"The Hump" is home to MSU's men's and women's basketball teams and had its debut season in 1975-76. Named after George Duke Humphrey, a former MSU president, it is the largest on-campus basketball arena in Mississippi at 80,000 square feet and seven stories high. The Hump was renovated in 1998 to add approximately 1,000 seats. The Coliseum now seats 10,200 and had its largest crowd of 10,724 in 2004 during a game against Ole Miss.
