      Chapel of Memories

The chapel is a memorial to Old Main, the original campus dormitory that housed thousands of students until it was destroyed by a 1959 fire. President Ben Hilbun conceived the idea of a tribute featuring the recovered Old Main bricks. A much-used facility and especially popular for weddings, the Chapel shares grounds with a carillon tower, which chimes every hour on the hour. At 10 p.m. it plays the fight song, "Hail State!"
